Bari Ziperstein is a ceramist based in Los Angeles. Following his Master of Fine Arts degree at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California, in 2004, Bari first worked in sculpture. She begins to incorporate ceramic elements into her sculptures and then wants to find a way to use the scrap metal that is set aside in the process. Combining small flat ceramic shapes and beads with natural leather strands, she makes eclectic necklaces that are soon coveted by her friends and colleagues. It does not take more for Bzippy & Co. to be born by offering a complete line of functional ceramics including necklaces, lamps, coasters, and vases.
Bzippy & Co. has become known for its vases, containers and lamps of intimate and architectural dimensions, often made in limited editions, and is highly appreciated by interior designers, private collectors and the specialized press.
