Miffy Pin
Two drops of black ink and the mouth in cross, Miffy - "Nijntje", with its orginal Dutch name short of Konijntje (little bunny), was born of the imagination of Dick Bruna in 1955, when he drew a small story for his son about a little bunny. Dick Bruna's inspiration for the Miffy books came from a bunny that he saw in the dune when he was on vacation with his family.
Dick Bruna's drawing are characterized by simple shapes (very rounded) and coloured flat areas surrounded by a thick black line: a clear lune, a minimal palette and the search of the purest form for narrative clarity.
